Teaching Sam and Scout

Friday Five

Just five little things on my mind these days…

1. College Football

5:30PM – This Saturday

Honestly, I really couldn’t care less about the games themselves, but I LOVE the energy of football season.  I like the camaraderie and team spirit and even the (in my case) playful competition in the air this time of year.  Plus, I love a good reason to curl up in an old hoodie, eat chips and cheese dip, and reminisce about my years spent in the stands of Death Valley. I haven’t been back in several years now, but I plan to change that later this fall. In the meantime, I’ll be wearing my orange and teaching Sam the Clemson fight song! GOoooo Tigers!

2. Fall TV

First of all, I have thoroughly enjoyed Mistresses on ABC this summer.  It started out as kind-of a “guilty pleasure” TV show cause it was a little on the dirty side; but, this season, I feel like it has gotten legitimately good. The story lines are pretty original and the characters very like-able.  Do you watch? What do you think?

Here’s my lineup for the fall: (It looks like Thursday nights are going to be pretty darn busy…)

Did everyone else in the world know that this is the “farewell season” except me? I’m already mourning…

On at 8PM now? I’ll take it!

Obviously

Pretty excited about this new one too…. If I can stay up that late!

And, of course, I’m looking forward to this…

What are you going to be watching?

3. Emily Ley’s 2015 Simplicity Planner

There are few things in life I love more than a pretty, new day planner. I’ve been using one of these since about March, and I LOVE it.  The design is classic and cute, and the elements/organization are PERFECT.  Plus, I love the heart behind Emily’s product… The 2015 planner goes on sale at 10AM on Wednesday, and you better believe I’ve got it written on my calendar.  This year, she is offering a daily and weekly version.  The weekly is a little smaller and doesn’t have the time slots for every day.  I think that’s the one I’m going to go with since my day-to-day (at least form 7 – 3) is fairly consistent (and it’s a little less expensive). Anyone else?

4. Boots

Is it boot season yet?  Probably not, but I, for one, can’t wait.  My beloved camel boots were retired last year after they started looking like a dog ate them, so I’ve got my eye on these – wide calf for this girl – from Target.  Has anyone seen them in person? I’ve only found them online, but the style and price seems good…

5. Three Day Weekend

Woohoo! I’m looking forward to a girls night out with my sister tonight, a birthday party and a family “reunion” tomorrow, and plenty of time for rest and play on Sunday and Monday.  What are your plans?

Have a great one friends!
