Statement Necklaces Under $30

By my count, I’ve still got approximately 27 minutes to make this a “Wardrobe Wednesday” post.  Sorry for the delay today friends!  I’m busy busy getting ready for vacation and spending as much time as possible doing fun things with Sam and  our friends and trying to contain the chaos that is my house… I will probably be a little scarce around here still for a few days, but I’ll be back at it soon.  Thanks for your patience!!

A couple of years ago, I really got into wearing statement necklaces to “snazz” up my otherwise pretty plain wardrobe. Honestly, I love the look of a white (or, even better, striped) t-shirt with dark jeans and a great necklace.  Plus, since it’s pretty easy to find trendy and affordable jewelry these days, this is a good way to add variety and style to my outfit without a lot extra cash or effort.  My VERY favorite places to buy statement necklaces are online “deal” websites like GroopDealz and Jane.com.  I can almost always find the latest “it” style at one of those shops for a STEAL.  Probably about 50% of my fun jewelry comes from one of these two sites – I love it! (The necklace below, which always gets a lot of attention and a few of you even asked about on Instagram recently, is from GroopDealz last year.) The only catch(es) is that the deals rotate, and popular items sell out quickly.  Also, some times you have to wait several weeks for your purchases to be delivered. Totally worth it in my opinion though.

Those are almost always my first stops if I’m looking for statement jewelry, but if I’m in a hurry to have something (like, say, for an event) or I just want to “splurge” on something from a regular retailer – and by splurge I mean “still less than $30.00” – JCrew Factory, Bauble Bar (sale), and Target are my go-to shops.  Here are a few of my current favorites on the market (it was, seriously, SO hard to narrow them down):

TOP ROW:

Bold Beaded Strands Necklace from Bauble Bar (on sale for $20.00)Spring Potpourri*

Bib Necklace from Bauble Bar (on sale for $18.00)

Long Leopard Links Necklace from Bauble Bar (on sale for $20.00)

MIDDLE ROW:

Factory Dangling Stone and Petal Necklace from JCrew Factory ($29.50)

Factory Stone Collage Necklace from JCrew Factory ($29.50)

Factory Crystal Brooch Necklace from JCrew Factory ($29.50)

BOTTOM ROW:

Capsule by Cara Multi Stone & Bead Bib Necklace from Target (on sale for $17.49)

Women’s Statement Necklace – Multicolor from Target ($16.99)

Capsule by Cara Flower Cluster Stone Necklace from Target ($20.99)

*Disclaimer: “Bubble” necklaces may very well be out of style by now.  I have a couple (like the one in my profile picture from Groopdealz, and I still LOVE THEM.  They are just so fun and easy to dress up or down. I probably wear one once a week.  Just be warned, wear at your own risk.  It is possibly that they are “so 2013.”

Do you wear statement necklaces?  What’s your favorite way to style them? Where do you buy them?

P.S. I’ve got a real fun WW post in the works for next week… Basically, I’m going to a big event on Saturday night with lots of fashionable people, and I’m hoping to be able to report back with some fun photos etc.  In the meantime, I’m spending WAY too much time buying (and returning) things for said event. 😉
