Isn’t this time of year just the BEST for book lovers?
Last week, Modern Mrs. Darcy released her beloved Summer Reading Guide (and an updated one – with categories!!! – yesterday); and, on Tuesday, PBS officially kicked-off their nationwide summer reading initiative with the premiere episode of The Great American Read. It’s basically a book-lover’s world right now! 🙂
Naturally, my summer To Be Read list has been growing and growing… I typically do A LOT of reading in the summer and, in general, I keep it pretty light. I love a good thriller or a light-hearted romance for the beach. Of course, I also throw in a little non-fiction to keep things interesting too! 🙂
In that vein, here are ten titles I’m hoping to read this summer (in no particular order):
The Wedding Date by Jasmine Guillory (MMD’s Summer Reading Guide)
One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Reid (Shay Shull said this was her favorite book of 2017!)
The Perfect Mother by Aimee Molloy (Kerry Washington is in the upcoming movie adaptation of this one!)
Tangerine by Christine Mangan (This comes up on Annie B. Jones’ podcast all the time)
The Dry by Jane Harper (Reese said I should read this one, and Laura Tremaine named it a “best” of 2017!)
The Queen of Hearts by Kimmery Martin (MMD’s 2018 Summer Reading Guide)
All We Ever Wanted by Emily Giffin (MMD’s 2018 Summer Reading Guide)
The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin (This was one of Amy’s March 2018 “Must Reads”)
Off the Clock: Feel Less Busy While Getting More Done by Laura Vanderkam (I’ve been looking forward to this one for a while… Coming on 5/29/18)
Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson (This came out in 2014, but I’ve never read it, and I’ve heard SO much about it – it’s even one of Laura Tremaine’s Favorite Books of All Time!)
