Man oh man, summer is FLYING by! It has been such a full and fun month – my first little nephew was born, the school year wrapped up, we spent a week at the beach, my sister got married, and TODAY is my 8th wedding anniversary… LOTS to celebrate!!
Today, it’s time for another round of Favorite Finds with Heather from Notes from the Nelsens. Here’s what I’ve loved in June:
I’m loving these (and the generic version at Kroger) for quick and healthy summer lunches. It comes with everything you need – lettuce, cheese, toppings, and dressing – for a delicious meal or side.
SO comfy and totally waterproof – perfect for chasing Sam through the fountains in the park or walking in the ocean. (There are lots of super fun colors – I love the yellow and the red – but I went with neutral, and they go with everything!)
3. UnREAL
So, I know I have some Bachelor/Bachelorette fans here… Is anyone else watching this?!?! It is a new show on Lifetime about what happens behind the cameras of a hit dating competition show “Everlasting.” The main character, Rachel, is a producer whose sole job is to use her relationships with the girls on the show to get dramatic sound bytes and footage that will get ratings and viewers. Though the series is fiction, its producer used to work for The Bachelor, so she certainly knows the industry. Fair Warning: The show can be pretty trashy, but if you look beyond that, it is really fascinating and definitely makes you think about what is portrayed as “reality” TV. *It comes on Monday nights at 10PM, but you can watch the first five episodes for free online – I may have woken up thinking about the fact that a new one would be released today. 😉
(A couple of insightful articles about the show here and here and The Possessionista’s recap of each episode with commentary/ Q&A from a real Bachelor “source” here.)
I’ve been trying to break out of my pearl rut with some fun (but still relatively simple and classic) earrings options lately, so at Shaeffer’s urging I finally broke down and ordered these beauties from Nordstrom. They were only $8, and I love them!! They come in LOTS of colors; in fact, I’m ordering a coral pair and a hot pink pair right now!
Now tell me, what are your favorites this month?
Have a good day friends!

Have you tried these: http://www.taylorfarms.com/products/chopped-salad-kits/southwest-chopped-salad/
I think DOLE makes a version too.
OMG I love them…I buy them during the school year for a quick lunch, but they are perfect in the heat. The little crunchy pieces are wonderful.
I am watching that show…with my hubby who finds it hysterical. We are also watching the Bachelorette…what a mess!

Hello Elizabeth! I’ve been following your blog for a few years (since before you were pregnant with Sam!), and I’m starting a new blog about the journey of trying to conceive.
I was wondering if I could interview you for a post about pregnancy planning? Please let me know if you would be interested.
Thank you!!

The Bachelor franchise is one of my guilty pleasures, so I may have to check out this show UnReal. Those earrings are stunning!
