Happy Friday friends. WE MADE IT!! And, thank you, to those of you that shared your own “inappropriate comments” about being pregnant on the blog/FB/Instagram yesterday. Y’all had me giggling all day and, definitely, feeling a lot less alone (and gigantic). #lovethisplace
Anyway, last week I shared about my exciting new partnership with Heather from Notes from the Nelsens this year. Today, we are taking a few minutes to introduce each other on our blogs by answering some fun questions for you. Read Heather’s responses below and then check out mine on her blog!
Here’s Heather (and her cute boys):
Fashion/Style Icon? Olivia Pope from Scandal. She has more coats than I have socks, oh and those bags. I’d be OK with dressing like her every day and/or having her clothes budget in general.
“Go To” Meal for Busy Week Nights? Recently its been Crockpot Ranch Chicken, but a while back I wrote a post with the top ten recipes I make the most often here.
For Guests? Usually some sort of pasta. This recipe is one of my favorites.
Favorite Book of All Time? Kid version is a toss up between Mick Harte Was Here and Bridge to Terabithia, but adult version would definitely be Unbroken.
Movie? The Notebook. I ugly cry every time I watch it. Every.single.time.
Least Favorite Chore? Steaming clothes, which I realize makes me sound extra snooty since steaming is the glorified, faster version of ironing, but I just don’t like it.
Social Media Addiction? Instagram. I also post on the blog Facebook page daily, but other than that, actually scrolling through FB overwhelms me.
Favorite Candy? Sour Patch Kids
Best Way to Unwind? Cooking in the kitchen with a glass of wine and Blake Shelton Radio on Pandora. Or a bath with a book. Either way, a glass of wine is usually involved.
Doppelgänger? Giada from the Food Network is who I hear the most, although there is at least one very obvious difference between the two of us. (Blogger needs emoticons.)
Life Verse? “Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart” – Psalm 37:4.
While the what and when don’t always match my desires, I’ve learned over the years that delighting (and trusting) in the Lord gives me a peace that I otherwise wouldn’t have in difficult times and reminds me that God’s will is somehow always better than my own. (More on my most recent appreciation of this truth here.)
Guilty Pleasure?
The Bachelor, Moose Tracks Ice Cream, and Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce Lattes. Oh, and Arby’s cheese sticks. Mmmm those are good.
Thanks Heather!
Again, if you aren’t already, make sure you are following along with Heather’s adventures in new-mommyhood on her blog (and/or by following her on Instagram and Facebook), and don’t forget to go read my responses to the same questions there today!

And P.S. Don’t forget to mark your calendar for Thursday, January 15th and plan to join Heather & I in our very first Mid-Month Confessions blog hop!! I’ll share more details and a button you can include in your own post early next week; but, until then, I hope this helps you find a reason to laugh when life looks “less than perfect.”
